There will be a LabVIEW user group meeting taking place this year at NIWeek. This meeting will be modeled after the successful LAVA meetings that have been taking place within the LAVA communities of California and Ontario, Canada.
The main topic of discussion will be the Event Structure and specificaly the new features introduced in LV7 such as Dynamic Events. The meeting will start-off with a short presentation from myself discussing the pros and cons of the new features and I will go through some examples of how I've used them is some real applications.
The meeting will continue with a panel discussion comprised of Mark Naley, Jack Hamilton and Jim Kring. They will show us some example code of their experience with the event structure and the new features. After, the floor will be open to questions and the meeting will continue with a question and answer session. Please bring your questions, praise, gripes and complaints about the event structure and dynamic events to the meeting.
In addition to the panelists, members of the LabVIEW R&D team will be present to clear up any misconseptions (is that possible?) and hopefully explain in a little more detail about what happens under the hood.
Location: Expo Hall
Time: 5-6pm
If I remember correctly from last year, Shiner Bock is available on-tap during that time...
