Like the Compact FieldPoint Controllers, it is a LabVIEW RT Target. With the serial & ethernet ports, you can use the embedded LabVIEW code to talk to FieldPoint or Compact FieldPoint systems, but it does not plug onto a Compact FieldPoint backplane, nor do Compact FieldPoint modules plug into it.
