Is there an easy way to use windows authentication within LabVIEW?
Tried to browse through . net functions but I couldn’t find a usefull one…
I’m using a 64 bit windows 7 system and I want a function that checks if the user and password combination is valid and which groups the user is member of.
Thanks in advance.

Nice buglist at http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6995. Does it mean we can expect a bugfix/update?

Hi Big Hank,This issue is also discussed more recently in http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=283425&requireLogin=False' target="_blank">this forum. I have reviewed the documentation and it appears that R&D is still working on this issue under a newer number (3VG9N1S5).

Dear all,I want to disable mouse in the Excel document using in my office report.
As we know, a cell will be focused if you click or right click a cell of an Excel document, so while the LV is writing data in the template of an Excel document, it would complain an error or some data were missed before you save it as another file.
On the other hand, I prefer to do other Excel work without being disturbed while LV is writing data in the template of an Excel document, even though it's better to set Excel window to display as "no change".
I guess Macro could do the job, could somebody do me a favor?
The only thing i can think about is to set the mouse position to 0,0 during reporting.

Hi,
Seems like you save your template in a jpg file.
It should be a png because a lot more than juste the image needs to be saved in the template file.
Try the example you will find in
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW x.x\examples\Vision\2. Functions\Pattern Matching

Hi,
Is it possible to upload your vi's?
Limit testing shouldn't be a problem at all in Labview :-)

Hello,
Is it possible to get a list of published tags found on a certain server?
I’m aware of DataSocket Select URL.vi which uses an ActiveX to browse a server, but I cannot get a listing out of this…
Kind regards,
Jonas

Without programming you can use http://www.barcodeman.com/altek/mule/ to convert serial characters into keystrokes
with programming you can use the report generation toolkit in Labview http://www.ni.com/toolkits/report_gen.htm or VB for applications...

Hi,
I guess you are using a VI written by someone else.
We cannot help you because we do not know what this vi does and what hardware you are using.

I want to use datasockets to communicate between 2 vi's.I have them working fine except that i have to manually start the datasocket server.
For development this is fine but to deploy the code I need to be able to do this automatically.
Can it be done programatically or somehow in the exe for an application?
thanks
You can find Launch DS Server if Local URL.vi in ..\Program Files\National Instruments\Labview x\examples\comm.
Or with find examples.
