Is there a way to have the VI A to have the same operation as VI B?

Recommended Posts

HI LabViewnoob,

Can you be a little more specific on what you want to achieve? Do you want the indicator B to have the same value as indicator A?

Sorry for not being specific enough. I wish to have the constant & control in indicator A to be the same function as the switch until released function button in indicator B.

Yes, I think so. But I didn't get what you exactly mean.

But may be one of the following helps:

- Make a control as a type def or a strict type def. It will be the same control/indicator in all VIs

- Build a XControl. It can have different appearence depending on a internal variable. You could set the variable from VI B and the behavior of the XControl in VI A will change. But not all instances of the XControl will change

Perhaps you could describe your aim in more detail.
