AVT Pike 505b

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

My first plea for help from this forum. First of many, I expect.

So, I've managed to get the drivers configured so that my Pike camera works well under LabVIEW.

It is a CCD camera and I want to control the vertical size of the image to be read off the chip. Unfortunately, MAX/LabVIEW does not support this feature for this particular camera.

However, the feature can apparently controlled by writing a command to the camera directly.

After deciphering the manual, I came up with the code below, using IMAQdx.

The code reads the current image size, then modifies the vertical image sampling size by a user-defined factor, before writing that value back to the camera. The address is correct and a secondary reading of the values from the camera shows they have been changed.

HOWEVER

When I try and grab an image, it is always at full size, no matter what I try to set the camera to.

Am I missing a step? Is there something else I need to do when writing commands to a camera like this?
