I'd be very interested to see how that pans out for you. I currently use OpenDNS on my router. It has some pretty nifty filtering and logging features so clients on your network don't inadvertently run aground known malware sites. My biggest gripe, though, is that its URL suggestion functionality is *really* stupid. For example, it won't realize that when I type lavagorg into my address bar, I really meant lavag.org - TLD matching is not rocket science. :| I can't say I've ever really benchmarked any of my DNS services, though.

I'd be very interested to see how that pans out for you. I currently use OpenDNS on my router. It has some pretty nifty filtering and logging features so clients on your network don't inadvertently run aground known malware sites.

I use OpenDNS on my router at home too. I like that it helps keep the kiddies from finding malware / porn / LAVA posts /etc... but my wife has complained that things are slower when she follows links...

Some subjective testing last night indicates that the performance difference was negligible between Google and OpenDNS. I did notice that the Google home page and sites that make heavy use of Google Ads seemed to perform better; I wonder why?

I returned the settings to OpenDNS to preserve the filtering that Google does not (currently) offer. I think its only a matter of time before they do...

If anything, we'll see logging capability sooner. Though, they do have a malware-oriented filtering service you can use through Firefox, if I recall.

I may just submit to our new world leaders and get it over with ...

Why not, they already handle my email, photos, online documents, IMing/Video conferencing, atlas, web browsing, RSS reader, calendar organization, web hosting, Video Hosting, directory assistance, blogging, online book reader, financing, medical records, not to mention their amazing web searching, product searching, image searching, news searching...do I really need to go on? I could there's google voice, and wave coming soon.

Now to be honest I don't actually use all of these services but I use many of them. I may give Google DNS a try but I probably won't stick with it.

Found this when I Googled "Zyrtec vision" http://www.askapatie...835&name=zyrtec Lots of serious stuff, then this:

3 Allergies First few doses were well tolerated. After a week, thought I had lost vision completely...the zyrtec caused me to initially feel better which made me drink more beer and I passed out under my stairs where there is no light...not a safe drug at all! Vision problems continued a few more times without much warning. Do not take with more than a 12 pack or so...not safe!
