I am supposed to build an ExE and Installer for a simple LV program, a task of 15 min. The program was done on LV 8.2, the main VI is not showing any errors and the mass compile also worked perfectly. But the application is not building and in the Generate Preview it is showing some errors. I closed the entire LV program and tried to reopen the Main VI file, it is not opening and the LabVIEW closes. The problem seems to be ridiculous and I spent nearly 2hrs, still I can't able to figure it out. Any Idea????

Do you have a backup of the VI? Try creating a new VI and put the Main VI in as a subVI to see if that helps. Any errors that are being reported?

Once the VI gets stuck, even if I replace the Main VI with the backup, the new Main VI is also not opening. If I use that Main VI in some other new VI as a sub VI, that thing is also not working resulting in the LV crash. I have to delete the entire Folder and replace with the back up folder. I tried it several times and after that the "Generate Preview" is not showing errors but the VI is not building, once I click the build option LV closes and the same thing is repeating. Its taking a hell of time.

Not sure what is happening. I haven't used LV8.2 much (or 8.2.1, you're using the patch, right?). What error dialog displayed when it crashed. NI support can sometimes resurrect VIs but it may take them a while. You may want to contact them.

Are you able to post the VI?

Sorry Bruce, I can't post that VI. It's a licence kind of thing. I am also new to LV 8.2, the labview crashes meaning it just disappears with no pop message after clicking the Main VI or during building the MainVI. As I told earlier, the VI is opening and running before building the Main VI as a exe, while building the whole LV gets disppear and afterwards the Main VI is also not opening.
