Automation Software Engineer: This position is responsible for software development and hardware integration for automated test systems and tools in an R&D environment. Main software development platform is LabVIEW. Instrumentation experience, understanding of basic communication protocols (PXI, USB, RS232, TCP/IP), and data acquisition experience is required. Candidate must have strong analytical skills and engineering expertise. Position requires interfacing to internal customers to determine requirements and feature set before, during, and after every project. Therefore strong communication skills are essential. Candidate must have a good understanding of electro-mechanical systems (motion control, PID). Skills required include: * Strong LabVIEW experience, CLD or CLA a plus, but not required * Strong problem solving skills and quick learner * Ability to manage competing demands and tight deadlines * Ability to adapt well to changing priorities * Excellent communication skills, written and verbal * 5 – 15 years experience with automation software and or hardware * Engineering degree from 4-year University * C# experience is a plus, but not required Send resume and cover letter to: dweisberg at kateeva dot com.
