OpenG LabPython Library 4.0.0.4 Release

Recommended Posts

This package will be available for download through VIPM in a few days.

This release and covers a request for the LabPython package to be view-able under the new 4.x Top Level Menus, and to fix a dependency issue (related to this thread).

This package was tested with Python 2.5 on both Windows 7 x86 and Windows XP x86.

If any developers want to continue to work on the Labpython project or any other OpenG project just PM me.

Kind regards

I also just checked and can't seem to find it underneath LabVIEW 2011??

Hi Wouter - I can see it in 2011 (as well as 2009 & 2010).

Anyone else having issues?

I can see the package. One thing to note is that the company name is 'Openg_org' instead of 'Openg.org'

Hi Ton

This is because of a feature change in the 2011.0.1 release.

I have added feedback here if you are interested.

Cheers

No plans to support linux, by chance? I couldn't resist installing it on ubuntu12/LV2011, open a few vi's and replace references lvpython.dll --> lvpython.so, but to no avail (would have been pleasantly surprised if it did...)

Shot in the dark, but maybe Wine could work on Linux?

But that's ugly... and would require a duplicate installation... I haven't tried if LV installs on wine at all, maybe someone did and evaluated limitations?

ETA: found this couple of 2009 links on the ni fora:
