Having been updated a couple of weeks ago, I am not sure when the equivalent for the 2018 edition will be uploaded, but it provides a good starting point for a systematic search.

Yeah I kinda missing the web install where you selected the things you wanted to download and then had an option to install or download more later.  Still storage is cheap these days so I'm just downloading the 21+GB of data then merge the DVDs into a single installer.  Probably going to be several hours more before it is done.

Also worth mentioning here is the Device Drivers for May 2018.  That 21+GB download just became 33+GB.

Should not NXG and the OPC toolkit be available in the Developer Suite download? Or is there an even bigger package?

A bit confused by all the variants, went for the Developer Suite as that is what our set used to be called...But NXG was at least included in the set we got on USB-sticks in 2017 (changed now?), and we also have OPC licenses...

The latter might always have been a separate download (not sure why it still is though...)?

The platform bundle web downloader looks more like the right one (http://www.ni.com/download/labview-development-system-2018/7406/en/). It does not state the name "Platform Bundle" until you have drilled down a bit.

I see now that that one does not include NXG, nor the OPC toolkit either (unless the latter has been renamed and is part of the communications package?). Have they chosen to separate NXG completely, contrary to what was done in 2017?

In 2018, you can use the NI Package Manager to install NXG and a bunch of other stuff. All three versions of NXG are available from that tool.

Great idea on the package manager, but this is only going to be a solution for those who are online, and are willing to download even more.  Having an offline installer is always important, for archival, but also for convenience for future installs.

Technically, although this is absolutely terrible and they should be ashamed, you can copy the package manager + package cache to an offline machine.

My online:offline device ratio is about 1:30 so a few weeks back I found out that you can, and immediately did, clone the entire cRIO linux package repository
