Get Version Number of deployed application

The only reliable way to tell if something is built is to perform some operation during the build process which only happens during the build process and check for that in the code. I use OpenG Builder to set Version Info (Version Number, Build Number, and Build Date) on a cluster of a VI's front panel (which is a fool proof-way to tell if the code is built).

On a somewhat (??) related note, I'm wondering how to get the version information of a built application during run-time. Any good ideas? I'm I just missing something simple and ovious -- an event that has been known to happen on any number of prior occasions, BTW.

OK, thanks for the suggestion. I'm also wondering about whether there are any options that are available more directly from within LV itself?
