Recent LAVA Site upgrades

Just finished upgrading various parts of LAVA to the latest stable releases.

  • Upgraded the main forums to 2.3.5 from 2.3.4
    A list of all the changes and bug fixes is listed here.
    • New Features:
    • My Blog and My Album links in profile dropdowns
    • Ability to change the form action url for upload forms (useful for load-balancing setups)
    • About Me/Signature tab in profiles
    • Numerous bug fixes

  • Upgraded the blogs to 1.4.0 from 1.3.3.
    A list of all the changes is listed here. You will already notice the new look of the blog pages and list. From the backend, you can now add several cool modules such as My Google Reader shared items, My Digg items etc. Hopefully these new features will prompt some to come forth and start blogging. All Premium Members have access to creating a LAVA hosted blog.
    • New Features
      New Default Style
      Themes and Custom Headers
      Content Block Plugin System
      Social Bookmarks
      Media Integration
      Akismet Integration
      Feedburner Integration
      Other Changes:
    • Edit Entry Date
    • Display article count for categories
    • Blog Offline Mode
    • Entry author replies in comments are now highlighted
    • Admins can select a 'Featured Entry' to be displayed on the blog listing

  • Upgraded the Gallery from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3.
    A list of all the bug fixes is listed here.

  • Upgraded the community SEO module from 1.2.0 to 1.2.2.
    These fixes and changes should not be noticeable by anyone except me.
    This handles converting ugly URLs to search engine friendly URLs.

OK, for a moment I though tyou were floowing my advise I gave regarding lay-offs at DEC. I said they should start by laying-off managers and keep laying them off until someone notices. A similar approach could be used to find out whcih links are used and whicha are not. Just shut them all down and only fix the one people find.

Of course I am just being silly now.
