we told me that it's better to don't use TCP open function and I prefer use OPC server and data socket read/write function.

I order a OPC sever software for my machine and if somebody knows how program it with Labview it can be nice!

Yes I tryed and the ping works at 100%, that's why I sayed that I'm sure that the machine is well connect.

I have to connect a plastic injection machine using LabVIEW, this machine has an ethernet connection and I know that it's correctly connect to the computer but I don't succed in find the machine using LabVIEW. I tryed with datasocket and with server explorer but maybe there is something special to do. If somebody has an idea it can be nice.

I don't know, that why i asked you more informations, the machines are equiped with ethernet conection but i don't know if it's possible to create a link without adding equipement. And at this moment i can't connect me on the network (informatic problem) and try to check if it's possible or not.

Do you think i need to buy a data acquisition equipement or ethernet connection is enough?

I have to work with 4 indepedent machines of platic injection and my project is more to collect data from the machine (is it working, how many movements since it's working, some basic informations) than to control them but I want to try to do more if it's possible (for example a on/off control).

So if you think that DSC module is not necessary I'will not buy it, and if you can advise me something else it can be good.

I discover the DSC module and I think that it's the best way to collect informations from a machine and control it.

But I'm a new user of Labview and I prefer be sure before buy it!

I'm in training periode in Finlande and my project is to link industrial machines and MES using Labview.

Now I work with a Krauss Maffei MC4 (platic injectoin) and I have some questions :

- is it possible to use the ethernet port of the machine?

- what kind of informations can I collect?

- is possible to control the machine? for example on/off
