The webcam, video compression and PC have influence in snap speed.

Programming has a lot of influence, too.

A producer/consumer scheme will improve speed, too.

Using a logitech 4000 pro and a Pentium III -750 Mhz- I can capture almost 4 images per second, usin the attached vi- a modification or NI example for continous snap-.

On a powerfull PC and a 5000 pro webcam, speeds are better.

Try this vi. Webcam only needs to be initilizad once.

Now I think there must be a way to distribute the missing part of the IMAQ USB drivers along with my application. I already included two DLL's (directshow) but guess I'm still missing something.
