  1. I am using Match Pattern to determine if a header is correct.

I read the file in and search for the regular expression.

The issue I am having is when I change the header by removing a character, when the header is rewritten as it is supposed to, but it decrements the next written character from the data.

I want to only rewrite the information on the first line (header) and not have any other portion of the file affected.

  2. I have a header I am adding to the top of a file.

I am adding data and appending this file.

I want to be able to verify that the header does not get corrupted.

I am using the search and replace string VI or the Match pattern VI.

I was wondering if anyone has approached this a different way.

  3. I don't know enough about your project, but if it's going along the lines that I think it is, please please please consider using TestStand.

<soapbox> Every integrator that I've ever worked for has attempted to implement a test execution application/utility, and each of them has failed with a lot of money and time wasted... </soapbox>

So now comes the Inevitable.........is there a TSAVA forum somewhere? HAHAHA

  4. Welcome aboard Bob, so what type of "fire" have you been thrown into, what are you using LabVIEW for?

    Good luck!

I will be involved with modular component testing for a Large Scale Enterprise System. The project requires persistent and complete testing documentation as well as reusable test configurations. And it has been determined that the tests will relay heavily on LabView.

So here I am. Trying to get educated!
