I am using LabVIEW 8.5.1 with MAX 4.5 on an XP System. When I click on the + symbol next to the Serial & LPT Ports, MAX crashes hard. Never seen before and cannot find a workaround.

Has anyone found a way to fix this problem? I am trying to use the USB-8451 Module and discovered that when I make a .ctl file that contains the 8451 device reference in it, I cannot use the Project Tree to open the control by double-clicking on it. If I right-click and select "properties" the front panel will open. If I double-click on the .ctl file in Windows Explorer, the control will open. If I use the control, the VI will not function.
