  1. can anyone please let me know the importance of pulse width and onboard memory options. in what kind of application required this two points. or it is useless?

first, the 6534 is a DIO card. no analog there. output rate is up to 2Mb/s, in burst or handshake mode.

the cards work similarly with DaQ and DAQmx, but the DAQmx definitely offers more control and readout options, for example for the buffer state.

the correlation of the card with NI would make sense, but i have to warn you the technical knowledge of the support engineers is basic at most, as they dont do high speed DIO... so advanced bugs or issues you encounter will not be solved. Specifically, some bug with Labview doesnt allow the card to operate at 2MHz even in Burst mode. depending on computer power i found 1MHz to relatively deliver stably, but not above.

one note: go to the 6533. much cheaper, also can be found on Ebay. no buffer on the card, but for today computers i have not found performance differences in both input and output.

note 2: NI have now developped new version of those cards, that are more reliable, and perform better in terms of configuration and programation with LV, allwoing to use only the high level functions delivered by LV. if not too expensive for you, i would go on those. they also feature higher data rate, in the range 5Mb/s and above (but then you will probably need onboard memory).

  2. hi to all,

i m looking for one high speed digital I/O card. i seen the data sheet of NI PCI 6534 and adlink PCI 7300A. i seen there is not much change in specs when i compare both the specs of card. only two specs differs from each other. onboard memory which NI offers is 64Mb as well minimum pulse width detection capability of NI PCI 6534 is 10 ns. but cant be able to judge becuase of not any knowlege of importance of these two parameters. can any one please explain it to me.

Just so everyone's clear, sahara agrasen is looking for downloadable ppt, video or audio files. I don't think any of our ideas so far conform to those requirements.

first of all, thank you so much for all your support. looking forward for same kind of support in future.

see my only intention for askiing of download manual becuase i can study those material during offline also. now see, i posted last reply before 2-3 days back and now today i get a chance to check mails and such a technical forum. that's it. i m working hard to learn all about pxi and labview in very short time with eliminating my problems. thank you guys for helping me. CRELF please take it easy. and all your ideas are working and helping me

  5. i check NI website almost 1000 times but never find some good presentation. it is only product related topics. nothing much. i need some goood ppt or video or audio about pxi or labview or want to know what kind of appkication possible using pxi and labview....

    pleaease help to get that..

Yes, I am the same person and I had post the nearby problem before some day ago..

Though I m new one in LabVIEW, still i m searching of an answer..so plz can anybody tells me to check the number is prime or not..that will be enough for me at this stage..bz i have not reached at level that i can solved the challange which was given by some person here..

plz help me out to know the answer of prime number.

    Thanking you

  7. One Challange for Everyone!!!!!!

I have one random number...which i have to find that the number is prime or not....

suppose I have 125 number...now i need to check the number is prime or not..how can I know?..

can anybody send me a sample VI for that?..

One more request that plz dont send the repeated VI as in NI..

Also i know that Prime numbers are those which are only divisible by only two numbers: 1 and the number itself...

  8. hi to all i need to learn about all the timer loops and especially the tick count... I would like to learn..that if say i want to know the execution time of a while loop..and need to get the difference of my previous sample and next sample...how to implement it?.. can anybody help me or explain it to me with one short and sweet example... I much thankful to him/her if i wil get the answers from u people... Sahara

  9. hi,

i m getting the error in my data acquisition system...the error indicated the memory is full..i mean to say the excel sheet becomes full in the first execution..

i dont know what happening....here i m attaching the real error msg what i m getting is .....

    Possible reason(s):

Attempted to read samples that are no longer available. The requested sample was previously available, but has since been overwritten.

Increasing the buffer size, reading the data more frequently, or specifying a fixed number of samples to read instead of reading all available samples might correct the problem.

can anybody helps me in this regards....

  10. hi members

I m going to make one DAQ system for measurement of temperature and pH...in which i m going to use NI product..the card numbers are 9211, 9201, 9203....which are analog input card...

Now as I m a new user in labview...i need a help from u expert members...

I want to design one front panel in which i would like to show 3 individual buttons for that..when i select a temperature button on front panel at the same time I required to display 4 individual waveform charts which will show the acquire data on screen...or say temeparature or pH..

I had tried to make the same VI which i m attaching here...i need help from members to complete the VI...u plz suggest me all corrections or send me some good files which will guide me in the to make my front panel design as well block diagram for the same...

how can i make the front panel for the same.......plz advise me

  12. I am trying to solve two problems...

what is the best way to solve problems like....

    1. i want to make one VI that like I rolls 25 times die and need to count each of numbers in one array....like 1 is generated 10 times and so on....

What I did?... I had make one array in which i generate random numbers in between 1 to 6..now i would like to separate or count the each numbers....

plz dont say that this example is given in solution 1....i dont want to see in solution...i need help from the members....atleast give me a hint...how to solve the problem....

    2. In which i would like to generate Prime Number in range of 0-500 and set that numbers in one array whose answer is 100 when i multiplicate that prime number using 3...

for example...If i get 37 as a prime number than it will set in 1 index bz its multiplication with 3 gives me more than 100 number....

I request members that plz give me a hint to solve the problems...I m in try to solve the problem bz I have completed only B1...i required your help....

  13. its an good information...though i was not aware of that thing..

bt as u says that plz share some good examples or problems in which i will try my level best to solve it and whenever i wil find any confusion i will ask u

now i think that is the best way to make sure myself as a LabVIEW programmer

so can u send me some good logical problems related to basic one and two

i have completed both basics I and II...so plz send me some problems as well examples
