johnseck Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 Thanks in advance for all posted replies. I recently inherited a defense program effort that will require a distributed architecture (i.e., host computer control from 10 miles away via a dedicated, secure, redundant T1 line). There may be up to five clients viewing the front panel simultaneously (sp?). Data rate is not extreme. Are there any limitations associated with VI server that I should be made aware of? Any and all input is greatly appreciated. Cheers, John Quote
Michael Aivaliotis Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Have you considered using the Remote Panels feature in LabVIEW? I've used this extensivly and found it to be an easy and safe way to handle remote monitoring and control. In addition, the clients can be running web browsers so you don't need to build a custom application to handle the VIserver communication. Quote
