You'd think that after the first time, the toolkits don't need to be converted again. Just a shot in the dark... Do you have the quick-drop helper option on, "Load palettes at startup". If so, "converting toolkits" might just be the last thing the splash display prints before starting to load the palettes. Quote Link to comment

There are about a dozen things that happen while "Converting Toolkits" is on the splash screen. Actually preparing for toolkit conversion is only one of them. Others are loading Measurement Automation Explorer DLLs, license validation, and loading some VIs necessary for mutating old VIs. Initializing palettes, however, is done before "Converting Toolkits" is displayed and, in fact, has its own splash screen string. Quote Link to comment
