roycosta 0
Hello Ever since I upgraded our HMI motherboard & CPU on 3 HMI's I am getting HMI crash problems. The HMI is running with no errors but it is as though the Tag Engine stops updating. 1. I am using LVDSC 6.1 2. Windows 2000 3. Gygabyte 875P Motherboard 4. 3.0 Gig Hz CPU 5. 800 Front End Bus 6. 1 Gig of RAM 7. I have applied the LOGOS patch 8. Duel Touch Screen Monitors (Nvidea a. PCI NVIDA GeForce FX 5200 (128 Mb) b. AGP NVIDA GeForce4 MX 440 (128) I think it is a hardware/multithreading (or Hyperthreading) issue. I did not have these freeze-ups with the older style motherboards and 2.8 Gig Hz CPU. Looking for answers.
m3nth 0
I am not familiar with your exact issue/setup but hyperthreading does cause problems with certain hardware. You can try disabling hyperthreading, which is what we did with our particular (unrelated) hardware problem we were having--that let us isolate it to a hyperthreading issue and then contact the hardware vendor.
