Inspect desired type as opposed to supplied type

Recommended Posts

As part of a macro to resolve conversions automatically, I'm trying to get the types on either side of a coercion dot. Getting the type supplied / coerced *from* is easy: the Data Type of the Terminal is equal the Connected Wire Data Type of the wire feeding into it (highlighted in blue). The so-called Terminal Data type, what that type is being coerced *into*, (highlighted in yellow) has lead me to a dead end. From the naming in the help window, it would suggest that the terminal's data type should be that value, but it's not.

Is it possible to inspect the Terminal Data Type programmatically?
