Hi,

i want to develop GUI with multiple dialogs which i want to call from main window like subroutine

with out closing the main window

Have you looked into using the VI Server features in Labview? Also check the examples (search under "server") provided with Labview.

You might want to consider "subpanels" within the main VI.

(Help --> Find Examples --> Search --> subpanels)

Another way is to make use of the "tab control" to produce a paged front panel on your main VI.

Just place a sub-vi on the diagram. Then go to the sub-VI's properties and set: Open panel when called, AND close afterwards if originaly closed.

but i am not able to close the window after transfering the control

Look under the examples:

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\examples\general\menubars.llb

There are several applicable demos there. Also in the same directory look for the uievents.llb which has a bunch of deoms and techniques you should become familiar with. There is an example in ther for using menu items with events.

enjoy :-)
