Match Pattern function missing from PDA palette

The Match Pattern was inadvertently removed from the LabVIEW 8 PDA palette.

NI support response can be read here.

The function can be "borrowed" from a Windows VI that is open and still works. Just drag it from the Windows VI to the PDA VI.
