Programmatically resetting a USB device

Does anyone know of a way to reset a USB device in LV 7.1?

Hi D:

If you're using DAQMX try using the "DAQmx Reset Device.vi"

See the image below, which works for me on a compact DAQ rack. (Note that I not only reset the rack, but all the modules too.) Is this the easiest approach? does the order Matter? Do I have to wait a full second between each reset?

Don't know, but it works. I do know that sending the resets one after another, without the waits, causes a crash. resetting the rack does not seem to reset all the modules.

Hope this helps, be happy if someone had more definitive advice, the manual & help system seemed rather sketchy on the subject.
