Normal control becomes "System" control from 7.1.1 to 8.2 (and 8.0)

It appears that if you copy the "Ring Background" part from a "Dialog Ring" to the "Frame" part of a regular enum in LV7.1.1, the control will magically become a "System" control in LV8, preventing you from writing to certain properties.
