LabVIEW crashes when calling ActiveX object

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have a problem with the ActiveX container on my front panel.

Whenever I place it on a front panel and I try to insert an ActiveX object by selecting it LabVIEW crashes. (I am using LabVIEW 8.01 - LabVIEW 8.0 had the same problem).

Anyone has a solution for this problem?

I don't want to install LabVIEW again on my computer, when I try on other computers in my company it works fine there.

Thanks for your help.

Is it only happening on a particular object? If so, which one? If it's not a standard Windows object, can you upload it for us to look at?

When I try to put a Windows Media Player control or a webbrowser control on my vi frontpanel I get the message in red letters: control could not be loaded.

I also can't use the .NET container this gives also problems....

When I download samples of ActiveX vi's they all work, when I try to put another object in the ActiveX container it doesn't work anymore!!!

So I cannot make changes in the ActiveX containers of downloaded samples...
