How to shorten Windows connection time

JDave

Recommended Posts

I have an PXI RT system hooked up via ethernet to my Windows XP computer. When I boot up the PXI chassis, Windows takes over one minute to connect to the device. I assume it is making sure that my PXI chassis doesn't have internet access. Does anyone know a way to tell Windows to stop looking so hard? Can I change the timeout before it returns and tells me that my device is crippled because it has "limited access"?

Thanks for any suggestions,

David
