Hi, i've installed a measurement device (PM710 from Schneider Elektric). Now i want to read some values out of this device. The device has a RS485-port. My idea was to make a switch from RS485 to RS232 and connect this to my computer. I've written a VI for this, but i can only select com3 but the RS485 is a com1-port. How can i fix this problem? I've also added my VI so you can have a look at it. I hope someone can help me. Best Regards Stefvg

I have a similiar problem. But i have to make connection first to another device how can i implement this?

I am student Engineer and i am in my last year. For my thesis i have to install a power supervision on a machine. This is measured by a Schneider Elektric PM710 and now i have to make a program that writes some values that i get out of this component every few seconds to a accessdatabase so i can interpret them later. I hope somebody can help me.
