  1. QUOTE (Nikita @ Apr 20 2009, 09:00 PM) I have a supply of surplus solar cells and I will build a few small panels. It is important that the cells are matched otherwise one bad cell will bring down the performance of the entire panel. To test the cells I've built a box with a 300W halogen work light and fan with a mount for the individual solar cells. Since I have so many cells to test I decided to try and automate the testing with labview and a budget daq system. My goal is to the build the eniter system for under $50. Part of the reasoning behind the project is to advance my understanding of solar cell testing and performance. I do not really need an elaborate test system to simply build a good panel.
  2. QUOTE (2and4 @ Apr 18 2009, 03:19 PM) That worked. Thank you very much
  3. When I was graduating in 2001 I sent quite a few resumes and only got one interview. Since then I've sent out three resumes which resulted in three job offers. The key for me was networking and targeting my resume & cover to the specific job, Go beyond the job description and research everything available about the company. Get familiar with their product line, their competitors, their recent PR announcments etc... Just go nuts and find out everything you can.
  4. I just signed on to lava but i'm a lurker on many forums. I usually only post if I have something good to add or if i have a question that isn't answered elsewhere. or if someone invites lurkers like me to post.
  5. I am building a solar cell test system like a student project. I have access to labview 8.5 and i wan't to run the solar toolkit vi at the link below. The toolkit is written for version 8.6 and won't open. Is there any way I can get an 8.5 compatible version? If someone with 8.6 can be so kind as to do a save as and post the result it would benefit everyone. Thank you if this is possible. The attachment below can also be found at the link above.
