I don't know why everyone called this site European Forum. This forum is in German, but as I know not everyone in Europe speak in this language.

There are few sites in Europe like my Polish, and some others: Italian, etc.

I think that if you called German forum an European Forum is an mistake.

Maybe in China, because this is where they are producing it.

I don't think that cable has got worse parameters than equipment for which it is dedicated. BTW I think that cable has got better parameters that the equipment, because it is just a cable some copper cables and isolation and few connectors. That's all.

Maybe you should ask some product managers from NI.

If you want to do this in a good way you should insert a generic description in VI Properities >> Documentation.

If you want to clarify your algorithm you could also write some description in Data Diagram, to make sure that everyone understand you intention.

Of course you need to do an Icon and some description for inputs and outputs to your VI.

Right now I am preparing for CLD (at this moment I am on LabVIEW Advanced training) so maybe in near future I will do next step and attact the CLD certificate.

I think LV Punk choose the best solutions. The third edition of LabVIEW for Everyone is the best book on the market right now and it is much cheaper than NI training. Instead of NI training you could also buy only a book from this training and it is also cheaper solutions than spending 1700 for training.

And speak of the devil, my 8.20 from SSP came in this morning. Packaged in a nice soft CD caddy

Oddly enough, it contains individual LV8, 8.01, and 8.2 CD's for some reason.

I received very similar package about 30 August.

So this time I got my SSP package ealier in Poland than you.

I have brought this up with people at NI but I don't think it has been ever looked at seriously. That is that NIweek is placed at the wrong time of the year for most to attend.

When it occurs early in August this is the total peak family vacation time. Don't believe it? Try to get some vacation plane flights for early August. I guess I am not too different from most because that is when we often take a vacation or travel overseas, etc.

When it occurs later in August it often interferes with the exact starting week for school in most places in the US.

Ok so NI week serves well those who don't take vacations and don't have kids or go to college, university, etc. What about the rest of us? Would it kill NI, to move NI week to another time in the year? I don't recall it ever being in another part of the year but it may have been.

I totaly agree with you, in another month for axample January, February not in summer season could be much cheaper to fly to US, and I think it will be cheaper even when the participation cost will rise. I think it is the bggest problem for people that are not from US.

For example VIP Days were in February, and it was no problem to get there in many ways (cars, plane, train) and of course it was quite cheap.

This mass compile is ridiculous - I'm already over 5 1/2 hours (and I was hoping to do some work today - not with an unresponsive PC).

Do you get an Update-CD if you are in the SSP?

I get my SSP Update CD, but there wasn't any LabVIEW 8.0.1 update.

I thing this LabVIEW patch is very fresh...

I didn't saw anythink like that in LabVIEW. I know that there are some application which are doing voice recognition, maybe you could use them as external module for your LabVIEW program.

I could say that I sometimes like risk so for new project I take the risk and do it in LV 8, but if somethings go wrong I could switch to 7.1.1.

I know that I that way I could waste some time if something goes wrong, but what can I say, thats I am.

BTW have yoe hear something about patch with bugfixes ?

Now I have my Christmas gift, I get my LabVIEW 8 PDS CD's. :-)

Now I'm happy, there was no problem with activation ofcourse, but was small problem with DSC installation.

A month ago I just install LabVIEW 8 evaluation and write my licence code and everythink was OK. After that I activated my soft with any problems.

I can say that there wasn't any problems with that. Maybe when I will be acticating rest of my instalation will be some problems, but right now I don't have any problems with that.

Now I wait for my LabVIEW 8 PDS. Have you hear something when NI will be sending CD's to customers ?
