  1. Hi, I'm now using http://forums.ni.com/t5/Community-Documents/DirectShow-NET-LabVIEW-SDK-Video-Audio-IP-streams/ta-p/3493927 Works fine Bim
  2. Hi All, I am currently trying to use an Intensity HDMI board from Black Magic. The main problem I have is that I can't retrieve my capture when I am using 720p setting. I can get my picture (in a LabVIEW image ctl) when my video source and my board are set to 576i (PAL). My driver displays an ActiveMovie window but my image control in LabVIEW is not refreshed and remains black. Does someone experimented such issue with hudge video format (HD)? Is there other (free if possible) DirectShow VIs available? Is there a setting to apply to the image control in LabVIEW? Thank you in advance for your help. I am looking forward to your answer. Best regards Bim

  4. Hi everybody, I'm using since a few month WDM drivers based on ActiveX video capture object (videocap, I think). As I can't buy IMAQ vision, the USB for video camera provided by NI can't be used. It's works fine but I can't configure automatically the settings of the acquisition such as resolution, number of frame, etc. The driver just calls the device property page and we have to manually select the setting we want to use. As the default setting for resolution is 320x240, and we always work in 720x576, the user has to select himself these setting in the displayed window. So, I'd like to know wether : - someone knows how to change the default settings of a standard video acquisition board based on WDM so that the re-configuration is not necessary anymore? - someone knows another ActiveX object that provides full controls of the video acquisition, and how to use it correctly? - anyone has ever build a function that configures automatically the controls of the top level window? - does anyone have any other solution (as free as possible) to simply control the video acqisdition, capture images, etc. ? I'm really looking forward to your answer. Thank you in advance. Bim
  5. Hi, I've build a VI to read all sheets in an Excel file. It works well but when I'm using it in another VI and that I access the same Excel file, for example with the delete file VI, an error is generated. If the two VI are used separatly, no problem occurs. I attach the VI I'm using to test the availability of the Excel file after the read operation is completed. The erasing of the file doesn't work, but some other actions can't be done (save, etc.). It seems as if an opened reference is not closed (even if I've tried to do to my best to close them all !) I know the report generation toolkit exists but we don't have any money to spend in this solution that don't correspond to our needs. I'd be grateful if someone could tell me what is going wrong in my VI, I's been a long time I've been trying and all my ideas failed for the moment... Thank you in advance for your help. 6. Hi, I've tried to find something about the dll called in the Vi I attached (based from examples) but as I've never interaced a dll via LabVIEW I'm a little bit lost! I attached the VI I use and the picture of the volume control (no action on my VI) and recording control (acts on the source oberved in my VI). I may not use the best way to detect a sound on my PC? Thank you in advance for your help. I'm looking forward to your answer. Bim Download File:post-1776-1133273125.llb
  7. Hi, I'm currently doing test on sound and I've found the ones from the examples. It work well but I can't select programmaticaly the input source, mic or line in. I succeed at switching it from windows menus but automation rules... Can anyone tell me how to change the sound recording line via LabVIEW please? Can anybody help me to find a solution? Thank you in advance. Bim
  8. Thank you for your solution, In fact, the document isn't attached so I'll wait that you post it... If you can, mail it to me directly ( bimbimbimbim@caramail.com ) Thanks!
  9. Hi everybody, I'm looking for the best way using LabVIEW to get the PC informations (drives sn, processor id, etc) so that my application is only runnable on a machine (which info is in the LabVIEW source). If possible, to have an application that only runs on a unique cd-rom for example I've already found code that calls vbs script or execute ipconfig command to get computer info, but these solutions don't seem safe enought. Can anyone tell me which solution is the best to use or in which way I have to go? Thank you in advance. Bim
  10. No problem...everything's running well. Thank you again!
  11. OK, thank you all! jbrohan, I'll test your VI and (if necessary) modify it. Be sure I 'll return it to you as soon as possible. Thanks again, have a good day! bim
  12. Hi everybody, I found a Vi that converts indexes to Excel range on http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=84295&requireLogin=False but I can't find the reciprocal, i.e how to convert row and column indexes of an array (numerical) to Excel row and column format (A1, etc.) It should already exists so if someone knows the appropriate VI... Maybe just a VI that provides the column (or row) names from the column (or row) number is enought. Thank you in advance. bim
