  1. Hey so I'm trying to design a VI that will record images from a camera and save them as .avi. So far I have everything working but I would also like to add the feature that the camera only records a specific region of interest. The only way I've found to do this so far is by manually changing the height width and offset options of the camera, but these are not available during acquisition which makes isolating the ROI a real pain. I'm on labview 8.5 and could really use some help. Thanks all!
  2. I'm very new to programming and hence I was put onto labview. I'm trying to set up a GigE camera to work with labview using ImaQdx. So far I've been using the example VI for "grab" as a template to what i want to setup. Other than just grab the image I want to be able to control the frame rate and save a recorded video as a TIFF format file in a folder of my choosing. I attached the file I've made so far. I've gone through a lot of labview tutorials and exercises but have had a few problems. For one, I used imaq write file 2 however if I use the file dialogue as the file path, it will ask my for a file path for every image, not for a "clip" of the images as a whole. I also tried using a time delay to control the frame rate however it's not exact. Is there a better way to control frame rate? One last thing I was wondering is if theres a way to only record sections of the image, i.e. whats currently showing on the screen instead of the whole image. Thank you for any help
