Apung

Hi, all - i'm fairly new to Labview, but have some experience w/ it none the less. I'm currently using labview 7.1.1, and i'm trying to put voltage through a connector box, a DAQmx. I am then reading the voltage directly with a digital voltmeter. When i tell the VI to send the given amount of voltage through, it does it, but it takes a LONG time to get through the connector box, and to the voltmeter. Because of this, i started using the older, more specific VI's from the older models and examples of Labview. When i try to run them on the newer, more user friendly labview, i get the same: Error 10401 error message that everyone else gets. Any tips / hints how i could make the new VI's recognize the older VI's? Any hints how to speed up the information passing?
