I have an instrument which makes an image up from a series of line scans. I want to write a VI to independently capture the same data and have a display showing the previous line scan. The instrument has a digital output which provides a TTL pulse at the end of each line. My plan was to set up a buffered continous acquisition and every time a recieve a pulse to read the contents of the buffer and display it on a graph. Line scan take a few seconds so what I'll end up with is a graph which updates every few seconds with the previous few seconds data. I have founf lots of examples of starting a aquisition with a trigger but I am struggling how to just make my VI wait until I get a pulse - any ideas much appreciated. I have been using DAQmx for my acquisitions. Matt
