My main problem for slow execution seemed to be the loading of templates (.vit's) and updating the color of a (invisible) string array table. What's left is the slow startup of LV8.01. I read on the NI discusion form (thanks for the tip), that NI is working on it.

I did mass compile all my code!

Starting labview 8.01 takes a lot more time then starting 7.1. Also executing seems slower. What is your experience with it?

I think i have a work around! Make the array of clusters invisible, update the data and make it visible again.
