  1. Hi community, I am not sure, where to put it and actually how to help contributing to it, so I am putting it here with the question to send me into the right direction. Anyway, here is what I encountered while using "slice string.vi": when using a sting like ":5" to slice the string, this throws an error, which occurs in the desktop trace execution toolkit. While this is not particularly bad, it is not so helpful, when looking for what might go wrong on other ends of my program. the reason is that "scan from string will throw error 1, when using an input like ":5" or "5:". I deleted that error on my side. Is there a good reason not to do it? Cheers, Niko
