About Me
After being a premed for five semesters, I switched majors to physics and graduated from Tulane University with a BA. I received my PhD in physics from Rice University. I designed medical instruments at Hewlett-Packard Labs for six years. I then move to Austin, TX, where I designed laser systems for DTM Corporation (now part of 3D Systems). I started using LabVIEW at this time. I left DTM to work for National Instruments, and wrote LabVIEW applications there for 15 years. I then went back to 3D printing by joining Stratasys Direct Manufacturing to create a next generation 3D metal printer. I did this for four years, transitioning through a subdivision change, spinoff, and acquisition, landing at my current postion at EOS North America, where I design optics, laser systems, and controls for next generation 3D printers.
