  1. QUOTE(MikaelH @ Jan 20 2008, 11:14 PM) Couldn't your user figure out via the firewall where it was querying, change their dns config to point to a simple webpage that just gives the 1 ? Just a thought.
  2. Hi, I have been recently working on CD burning in labview (using nero's command line in this case), but in an attempt to streamline things one step further, I was wondering if anyone has ever used a Lightscribe CD burner for putting the artwork on a CD? I think this would be great for a low yield operation instead of using CD Labels or a specialized CD printer, but I am having issues finding something like a command line or activeX control for hooking into it. So has anyone done this, or even started to?
  3. QUOTE(alfa @ Dec 27 2007, 03:18 AM) Checked the tag on your shirt for a name? (As a note: your name is not "Machine Wash Warm, Tumble Dry Low" ) hooovahh has a point though, and it is moderately on topic, so to stay on topic, I agree. Also, eaolson: check the NI cross post, you CAN write code about it, honest!
  4. QUOTE(alfa @ Dec 19 2007, 07:39 AM) You know, there are easier ways to say "bump"... Many people say science and spirtuality don't mix, and I consider them geniouses. The whole point of anything spiritual is belief... faith. Almost like compiling DSP code, having faith that the compiler does all the optimizations that you need, but never being sure that it will do it this time. By coming up with precise solutions for them, they cease to be spiritual and lose the magic they had. (Apologies to everyone else, I don't mean to bump, but I had to reply... [and I won't reply more to this] ) Sometimes, Ignorance is bliss.
  5. great, great, thanks for the reply! I will pass the suggestions on (she actually already has a degree in biomed engineering, but o ly took a handfull of classes related to imaging)
  6. Hey, I have a friend who is trying to get into the biomedical imaging field, but is finding that all of the jobs require some crazy level of experience. Any of you into imaging and can give me a few pointers to pass on to make herself more visible?
  7. *unlurk* I scrolled down and found the lounge, then saw the lurker thread, and felt the urge to post. I'm in boston, test engineer, still play with legos (before I bought my mindstorms kit, never really stopped), still a newbie to labview, only professionally used it for 6 or so months so far. ...I feel naked out of the shadows *re-lurk*
