  1. uCalc Fast Math Parser 2.96 was officially released this week. uCalc FMP will allow your applications to evaluate math expressions defined at runtime. uCalc FMP can work with LabVIEW using the uCalcWrp.dll wrapper DLL (included in the download). For more details see: Product Overview Main Features What's New in v2.96 Download This is a cross-post of the message found in the NI Forums.
  2. This is a cross-post of the message found at the NI forums . uCalc Fast Math Parser 2.95 is now available. With the help of a LabVIEW user, better support for LabVIEW was implemented in this version, in the form of a wrapper dll (uCalcWrp.dll). uCalc Fast Math Parser lets you evaluate math expressions defined at runtime. I am not a LabVIEW user myself, but I'm told that LabVIEW has a parser, but uCalc has the advantage of being faster, and more flexible. See www.ucalc.com/ucalcfmp.html for details
  3. Thanks. I'll keep this in mind for next time. I'm completely new to this neck of the woods. I wasn't sure how much overlap in readership there was between the NI forums and the Lava forums. The Lava forum guidelines mention cross-posting as asking the same question in more than one Lava forum. I know that the NI forums are owned by the makers of LabVIEW, and these Lava forums here are independent. But why was the independent forum created, if it covers some of the same user demographics? --- Daniel Corbier www.ucalc.com
  4. I am the developer of the uCalc math parser product, as well as an upcoming product tentatively named uCalc Language Builder. I have no personal experience using LabVIEW. However, several customers of mine have used an earlier version of uCalc FMP with LabVIEW. I need some help in ensuring that the current version of uCalc FMP will work with LabVIEW as well. Please see the other message I posted at: http://forums.lavag.org/uCalc-FMP-wrapper-...VIEW-t9129.html In addition to uCalc FMP, I am currently developing a programming tool, the likes of which does not currently exist (as far as I know). LabVIEW users might be interested in uCalc Language Builder, which is designed to let you very easily create a scripting or interpreted language, without having to get a PhD in programming or spending months / years hacking away with comparatively complicated tools such as Lex and Yacc. Although this is still a work in progress, there is a working implementation that is stable enough that the current version of the commercial uCalc FMP product was built on top of it. For more information, and to download and play with uCalc Language Builder, please visit: www.ucalc.com/langbuilder.html I need your feedback. Thanks. --- Daniel Corbier www.ucalc.com
  5. I have developed a math parser named uCalc FMP, which allows your programs to evaluate expressions / formulas that are defined at runtime. In addition to a built-in set of functions/operators, it lets you define an unlimited number of your own functions, operators, variables, constants, etc... No provisions were originally made for LabVIEW. After I redesigned uCalc FMP, a customer recently notified me that the new uCalc version no longer works easily with LabVIEW the way the old uCalc version did. I have now created a special LabVIEW wrapper for the new version of uCalc FMP, which will hopefully make it work as easily as before. However, I have no personal experience with LabVIEW, so I will need some help from LabVIEW users to ensure that the wrapper works correctly. The LabVIEW wrapper for uCalc FMP 2.91 can be found at: www.ucalc.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000021.html If you are not familiar with uCalc FMP, you will find more information at: www.ucalc.com/ucalcfmp.html To download a fully functional copy of uCalc FMP 2.91, visit: www.ucalc.com/download.html If you want an eval copy of the old version 2.0 of uCalc FMP, the link is: www.ucalc.com/mathparser/ucfmp20.zip I look forward to hearing from LabVIEW users. --- Daniel Corbier www.ucalc.com
