  2. Hi, I have been breaking my head on this function for my program. The function is that after for example a time of 10 minutes in which nothing on the front panel has been touched by a user, a tab control should jump to tab 3. Because the program constantly runs a webcam capture loop, I can not use modules that cause wait time etc. Does anyone of you smart guys know the answer? Thanks!
  3. QUOTE(tcplomp @ Jan 23 2008, 01:00 PM) Thank you, the radio buttons were the solution.
  4. Hi, I am almost finishing my project, but I still have a question. I designed 4 special big (4x 8 cm) buttons with and image on them. These are normal Boolean buttons. At this point multiple buttons can be enabled at the same time, but my requirement is that only one button can be enabled at the same time. When pressing one, the other enabled button should turn off. How to do this? Normally you should use radio buttons I guess, but my buttons have a special design. thnx
  5. Hi, I have a setup with multiple driverless Webcams (Windows video class driver) and in Windows they are all recognised by the same name: "USB Video device" In IMAQ USB Init (= ImaqDirectShowDll.dll) the webcams are identified by their name and not their ID. Because of this I can not switch between the webcams. Image always comes from the first connected webcam. I proved it by installing a webcam with a driver and thus a differnt name in Windows. It worked OK. Any one know how to fix this, so I can switch between the webcams by ID? thnx
  6. QUOTE(pdc @ Jan 22 2008, 03:00 PM) Great thanks for your help! Now it works.
  7. Hi , I realize that this is a very basic question, but I could not find the answer. If I have a simple front panel control, like a Boolean switch or a selection list, how can I generate a Boolean TRUE event after a control change? (With this event I'd like to leave a loop) (STOP = TRUE) thnx, Jasper
  8. QUOTE(crelf @ Oct 31 2007, 02:53 PM) Thnx Crelf, but I tried installing NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras and it keeps asking for NI Vision or the Vision Assitant that needs to be installed first. So can't even install Ni-IMAQ for USB Cameras. But maybe there is a way around this?
  9. Thanx for the reply.. I found a link to this toolkit: http://www.hytekautomation.com/Products/IVision.html in this thread: http://forums.lavag.org/Open-Source-altern...lkit-t1557.html It 'only' costs $399 and the company claims NI Vision is not needed. Now checking if there might be options with ActiveX that need no extra $ toolkit at all.
  10. Hi, does anyone of you know if it is possible to set up live webcam image aquisition without the need for the expensive NI Vision addon? (maybe using activeX?) (I am planning to buy the Labview Base system) Thank you! Jasper
