Here is something that I think could be modified for your purpose. It was designed for lab stations that have corporate mandated inactivity lockout, causing you to have

to login to the workstation again if you leave it unattended for a period of time.

Thank you very much for the tips, I will be trying them next week when I am back form my work trip!

    Bye!

  2. Hi,

I am almost finishing my project, but I still have a question.

I designed 4 special big (4x 8 cm) buttons with and image on them.

These are normal Boolean buttons. At this point multiple buttons can be enabled at the same time,

but my requirement is that only one button can be enabled at the same time.

When pressing one, the other enabled button should turn off.

How to do this? Normally you should use radio buttons I guess, but my buttons have a special design.

    thnx

  3. Hi,

I have a setup with multiple driverless Webcams (Windows video class driver) and in Windows they are all recognised

by the same name: "USB Video device"

In IMAQ USB Init (= ImaqDirectShowDll.dll) the webcams are identified by their name and not their ID.

Because of this I can not switch between the webcams. Image always comes from the first connected webcam.

I proved it by installing a webcam with a driver and thus a differnt name in Windows. It worked OK.

Any one know how to fix this, so I can switch between the webcams by ID?

    thnx

The Hytek Automation toolkit is pretty damn comrephensive for $399. If all you want to do is acquire and display, I agree that NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras is the way to go, or you might want to try Pete Perente's drivers - they're old and unsupported, but might do what you want with a bit of twiddling.

    Thnx Crelf,

but I tried installing NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras and it keeps asking for NI Vision or the Vision Assitant that needs to be installed first.

So can't even install Ni-IMAQ for USB Cameras.

But maybe there is a way around this?
