ataru Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Hi all, I'd like to create a timing source for a timed loop at a constant frequency. To do that I used a counter on my USB-6211. The simple Vi is attached but it doesn't work. The error is attached too. Could somebody tell me what is wrong??? Thanks in advance. Ataru clock_example.vi Quote
Kurt Friday Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Hi Ataru There is an example called Dig Output-Digital Edge w Ctr.vi Take a look at that it might guide you. Quote
ataru Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 Thank you for the answer. In any case I don't understand why the Vi I posted doesn't work. I should use the clocks on my USB 6211 without any external signal. Is it possible? thx, Ataru Quote
Kurt Friday Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Hey Ataru I had a dig around and apparently DAQmx Create Timing Source doesn't work for USB devices due to the latency of the USB architecture. For more info check this knowlegebase article Quote
ataru Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 Thank you! now it's clear! Cheers, Ataru Quote
