Counter output channel

Hi!

I'm having trouble defining a digital output channel as a PWM, using the LabView counter.

I manage to define successfully the task, but when I try to write a new frequency and/or duty cycle, I get an error message saying that the write failed because there are no physical channels associated with the task.

If I check the channel, with a property node, just before trying to write, I do get the correct channel...

Does anyone have an idea what could cause this?

By the way, the full error message that I get is:

Error -200459occurred at DAQmx Write (Counter Frequency 1Chan 1Samp).vi:2

Possible reason(s):

Measurements: Write failed, because there areno output channels in this task to which data can be written.

What hardware are you using? It may not be possible to get PWM easily with the E-series cards.

You might just be better of getting a PWM chip and driving that with a Analog output line.
