a_riot
Hi, I am new to Labview and I am wondering if there is a way to do what I want. We have two screens for our application. One has all the controls and the other is an interface to load programs into the PMAC. I wanted to combine these 2 screens into a tab control so I created a tab control and put all the controls from the control screen on it and that worked no problem. But the vi that has all the code to load programs is in its own vi. What I basically wanted to do was insert the "load programs" vi into the second tab of the tab control but can find no way to do this successfully. It seems if I try and copy/paste controls then nothing is wired, and if I copy/paste the block diagram, all the controls on the front panel are not there. Obviously I am either doing something wrong or it can't be done. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Much thanks, Paul Labview 7.0, Windows XP Quote Link to comment
PJM_labview
For what you are describing a subpanel will do just fine. Put a subpanel control (from the container palette) inside you 2nd tab and then you can run your SubVI and display its front panel in the subpanel. For more info on subpanels and how they work, search LV7.0 examples PJM Quote Link to comment
