Select correct IP source address

Suppose we have a device with multiple network interfaces. Now, we want to write to a shared variable from it. Is there a way to determine which interface (IP) will be used?

Yes, we have done this, but it was some time ago so I don't remember the exact details. I think the shared variable engine just used the first network adapter in the network connections list. These links may help:
