Sr. Test Engineer The Company: Wells is a leading marketer/manufacturer of automotive engine management and other electronic automotive components sold in the North American aftermarket. We are a business unit of United Components Inc. Wells has been supplying quality auto parts to the aftermarket since 1903! Today we provide over 30,000 part numbers to the professional mechanic and our replacement parts market is strong!. Our products are sold to many of the largest auto parts stores in North America as well as other customers on a global basis. Due to a relocation, our electronics group is looking for a Sr. Test Engineer who will also be the lead person for this 2 engineer/1 technician group. Wells is TS/ISO certified. The Position: Develops, builds and programs functional test systems used in electronics assembly. This includes maintaining process documentation. Responsible for the test engineering group; provides guidance and direction to other test group staff regarding projects in their assigned areas of responsibility. Coaches less experienced staff. Develops the strategic direction for enhancing functional testing processes including hardware and software. Position Requirements:Requires a 4 year degree in electrical engineering and several years of previous experience with functional test systems (test equipment and test program development) in an electronic assembly environment.. In-depth experience with Lab View software. Understand analog and digital circuitry Previous experience coaching and mentoring assigned technical staff. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to multitask and have a history of meeting project deadlines. Prefer engineers with TS or ISO experience.
