Jim Kring Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Great idea! This one should definitely be pushed through the system. Quote
Wouter Posted January 2, 2012 Author Report Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Because Altenbach also wanted the VI to work for complex numbers... some reading material: http://faculty.sfasu...plexNumbers.PDF Further... what about the geometric mean, harmonic mean, quadratic mean, weighted mean, truncated mean, midrange, http://en.wikipedia....i/Average#Types Edited January 2, 2012 by Wouter Quote
Wouter Posted January 3, 2012 Author Report Posted January 3, 2012 Further I was thinking about the following... do we need to add point-to-point means? For each one of them? crelf Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 To bad we don't... Awesome: sounds like you're volunteering to help - contact jgcode and he can get you started. Quote
Wouter Posted April 16, 2012 Author Report Posted April 16, 2012 Well that is the problem... I already did. But it is in others opinion that only after discussions things can be implemented. And such when there is no discussion there is no implementation xD Imo when you ask me there should be a different protocol. Just post a candidate, if no one objects just implement it. If there are any complaints after the new release we can always change things back. Quote
Wim Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Sorry Wouter, don't have time lately to follow up on LAVA discussions. I agree with Jim, they should definitely be pushed through the system. If you can't implement them for OpenG ... maybe you should implement them anyway and share them with us ;-) Quote
