todd Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I dislike IVI, too: half of my instruments have functionality not exposed with IVI. I had some trouble with a similar Keithley instrument. The read command (:Trace:Data?) gave an error unless all of the setup commands were exactly right. Step through the examples again. Quote

The instruments accept the coomand from the PC, but the buffer is empty (no byte in byte count).. :headbang: I've found the visa driver in NI site, but the instruments doesn't work ???? People know the possibility problem for the empty buffer? For clear thing i send *IDN? or READ? command and i don't have nothing in out of instruments???? I don't have error in the instrument and from error queue in labview. Quote
