Daklu
The new Create Project dialog is kind of a cool new feature that I haven't minded at all... until today. I went to set up my normal custom hot key combinations in LV2012 and discovered one of my favorites is MIA! I can now no longer use Ctrl-Shift-N to automatically open a new blank project; I have to go through the dialog. *sigh* A little piece of me died tonight. Rest in peace New Project menu item; you will be missed. Quote Link to comment
Popular Post Christina Rogers
We are strongly encouraging users to create projects from templates, but if you have the need to create blank projects often you can change the menu to the old behavior with the useNewProjWiz INI token described on the LabVIEW WIKI: http://labviewwiki.org/LabVIEW_configuration_file/Miscellaneous 4 Quote Link to comment
Daklu
Thanks Christina. It sounds like I have to choose one or the other. Most of the time I want blank projects, but occasionally I like the dialog. Is there a way to invoke it manually? I found some files that looked relevant in \ProjectTemplates and \resource\plugins\NewDialogFiles but didn't find a way to launch it. Quote Link to comment
Christina Rogers
If you go to View>>Getting Started window and click the Create Project button, it should invoke the dialog even if you have the INI token set to make blank projects from the menu. 1 Quote Link to comment
