Urgent-Help with Dictionary toolkit

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am very new to OpenG and Dictionary toolkit. I would like to make a look up table using the dictionary toolkit. I need to feed variables into this table and pull them out and my output is a cluster contain 2 elements . Could you please help me on this using a sample code or help file?..I would greatly appreciate if you could help me to start doing this. I assume it should be a simple initialize , read , write and close ( like LabVIEW)

Hi

Not sure if you are already aware of this but there is an example VI installed with the toolkit.

Look in C:Program Files (x86)National InstrumentsLabVIEW 2011examplesOpenGdictionary or whatever you version of LabVIEW is. In that directory is a 'Dictionary Example.vi' file that shows you how to use it.

Hi danny, I have just found the example. It is really useful, however it is a bit complicated for me.what I need to do is just a simple init, write and read. Could you please help me to start with an example

I really would try and understand that example it would be worth the effort, run it a few times with the highlighter on, you would gain a lot I think.

However try the attached file as a starting example

Untitled 1.vi
